Austrian farm on a Tuesday morning in Feburary. The snow will be gone soon.

A lonely traffic circle during lunchtime on a cloudy Thursday in February.

Last year I had to cancel my tradition, because I had to stay in bed with flue. But this year I had no flue, and so I went to this certain kind of restaurant for my fancy “end of the year lunch”.

I arrived just some minutes past 11:00am. Yes, I was the first guest today. As always in that special day once in a year.

The young waitress had black hair and brought me some magazines while I was waiting for my lunch.

The candle was burning, and I ordered Veltliner wine from Hadersdorf in Lower Austria. The wine was excellent.

And this was my lunch: Grillteller with French Fries and vegetables. The meat was very tender and tasteful. I have enjoyed it a lot.

And at the end: the invoice. 11,70 Euro for the lunch, and two Euro for the wine. I gave a tip of one Euro and 30 cent. So my total sum was 15 Euro.

See you next year at the restaurant called “Haltestelle Oftering” ...

I really love my path to the hairdresser. It’s such an odyssey to get there. But I enjoy it every time. Today probably the last time this year. It was on a capricious afternoon at the end of October.
